Note that there are several significant QTL for sugars on chromosomes 11 and 3. If these markers are near each other on the chromosome (you would have to look back at your map to decide) they may really be one QTL with a large effect. There is no way to be sure without further studies.

As in mapping studies, these statistics are simple likelihoods – there is no specific cutoff of what is or is not a QTL. Conventionally, a QTL with a p > 0.05 is seen as significant, but this needs to be decided within the parameters of your own breeding programme.
