Part 1
Part 1 is composed of three parallel processes: expressing your expectations for the course, a group building exercise and the first part of the course content.

Part 2 - 1
In Part 2 you will be given a general outline of the various IPR and PGR international regulations as they currently prevail, what their political background is and how countries respond in designing their national regulatory frameworks.

Part 2 - 2
Part 2 continues and introduces the the balance of rights between states, inventors and farmers over genetic resources and you will be asked to look into the regulations of the country that you work in.

Part 3
Part 3 will comes ‘ closer’ to your reality, i.e. how do the international and national policies affect public research institutions, and how can these prepare themselves to optimally deal with them. This part will require a more active interaction with the tutors and other participants to the course. The course will be concluded with final exercises and the completion of the evaluation form.

Evaluation of the course.
