Dear Participants,

Welcome to ‘Distant Policies’, a distant learning module for scientists on Genetic Resources Policies and their implications for ‘Freedom-to-Operate’, which is hosted on this online learning environment.

During the next couple of days, you will be introduced to our online learning environment, which is intended to acquaint you with the details of this new learning process. It will offer you the opportunity to follow the course at your own desk, wherever that may be, and at your own pace.

We recommend strongly that you go through the entire introductory package, which will provide you with all the necessary information that you need to fully participate in the program.

You will be asked to create your personal profile, giving the other participants a chance to find out who you are, where you come from and what your expectations are of the course.
