DuPont Pioneer has been sponsoring student-organised plant sciences symposia at universities around the world since 2008, as a way to meaningfully contribute to building agricultural scientific literacy,advancing the plant sciences and facilitating greater collaboration with the public sector. The events continue to grow in size and scope: symposia have been held at 15 universities on five continents.
These symposia events are free and accessible to the general public, and in most cases, are offered via webinar, making them available to the broader plant sciences community around the world. The symposia provide students with hands-on experience to enhance organisational skills, team work and resource management skills. Most of these events also include a DuPont speaker.
