InterDrought-V Conference 2017 offering 100 fellowships to facilitate participation

The InterDrought-V Conference 2017 is offering 100 fellowships to young scientists from developing countries to support their participation in the conference, with priority given to researchers from African countries who already have partial funding.

The conference is offering 20 full fellowships that cover conference registration, travel and accommodation costs; 40 fellowships covering conference registration and accommodation; and, 40 fellowships that only cover conference registration fees.

Only young scientists from developing countries working in research areas that fall within the scope of InterDrought-V are eligible for this support, but excluding those working in CGIAR Centres abd Advanced Research Institutes in the developed countries.

Applications and all supporting materials must be submitted via e-mail to fellowships.idv@gmail.com before 30th September 2016. Applicants are required to fill InterDrought-V Fellowships Application Form and also submit by email an abstract for a poster or oral presentation in keeping with guidelines provided at http://ceg.icrisat.org/idv/abstract-submission/.  Applicants should not submit abstracts online at this point, and will be advised by 15th October 2016 if they need to do so, at which time the successful applicants will also be informed of their award.

Applicants must also submit a supporting statement from their Head of Department or Supervisor, clearly indicating their status (Masters/ PhD/ student or Post-doctoral Fellow) and their reasons for seeking financial support. They should also include a list of their publications, if any.
