QTLs for Rice

  • Shao-qing Tang et al. 2011 mapped seven quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for thousand grain weight (TGW) in recombinant inbred line (RIL) population bred from a cross between a javanica type (cv. D50) and an indica type (cv. HB277) rice.
  • Xufeng Bai et al. 2010 identified Four QTLs for GL on chromosomes 3 and 7, and 10 QTLs for GW and 9 QTLs for GT were identified on chromosomes 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10, respectively.
  • Bai XF et al. 2011 identified Seven and five QTLs for thousand-grain weight and spikelets per panicle, respectively and Four QTLs for both heading date and plant height. In total, 20 QTLs were identified for four traits using recombinant inbred lines derived from a cross between two diverse cultivars, Nanyangzhan and Chuan7.
  • Mao BB et al. 2003 identified a total of 21 significant QTLs for harvest index, biomass, grain yield, sink capacity and plant height from DH population containing 81 DH lines from an indica-japonica.
  • Shenet al. 2003 detected a total of 24 QTLs which have significant effects for leaf traits like leaf area, leaf length, leaf width, leaf perimeter and leaf length/width ratio from a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of 247 lines derived from an inidca-indica cross Zhenshan 97B x Milyang 46.
  • Gui-Fu LIU et al. 2006 used mixed-model based composite interval mapping approach (MCIM) to detect QTLs for rice biomass yield and its two component traits (straw yield and grain yield) in a population of 125 DH lines from an inter-subspecific cross of IR64/Azucena.
