- Park et al. 2013 reported genetic mapping with an F2:3 population derived from a waxy corn × sweet corn cross. A framework map was constructed using SSR markers in the F2 population and genetic linkage map of the F2:3 population employing 295 SSR markers. The map developed spans 2,626.5 cM across 10 linkage groups with an average inter marker distance of 8.9 cM.
- Coe et al. 2002 constructed a 1850 marker map for the intermated B73/Mo17 (IBM) population (Davis et al. 2001). The IBM map is populated with 1,000 RFLP and 850 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers.
