- Rabbi et al. 2012 reported genome-wide SNP-based genetic map of cassava anchored in SSRs derived from a Namikonga × Albert F1 population. Linkage analysis resulted in a final linkage map of 1,837 cM containing 568 markers (434 SNPs and 134 SSRs) distributed across 19 linkage groups with average inter-marker distance of 3.4 cM.
- Sraphet et al. 2011 reported SSR and EST-SSR derived genetic linkage map of cassava. In total, 640 new SSR markers, from an enriched genomic DNA library of the cassava variety Huay Bong 60 and 1,500 novel EST-SSR loci from the Genbank database were used for polymorphism screening, which revealed 199 SSRs and 168 EST-SSRs as polymorphic markers. In combination with previously developed SSRs, a linkage map which consisted of 510 markers encompassing 1,420.3 cM, distributed on 23 linkage groups with a mean distance between markers of 4.54 cM was developed.
- Kunkeaw et al. 2009 reported AFLP and SSR markers based genetic linkage map of cassava on Rayong 90 × Rayong 5 population. A total of 469 polymorphic markers including 378 AFLPs and 91 SSRs were used for genotyping the population and a genetic linkage map was constructed which consisted of 119 AFLPs and 18 SSRs, spanning 1095 cM with an average of 7.99 cM between markers.
- Okogbenin et al. 2006 developed first SSR based linkage map of cassava. In total, 472 SSR markers were screened for polymorphism in K150 and its parents TMS 30572 and CM 2177-2, which resulted in identification of 122 polymorphic markers and used for linkage analysis. The map constructed, consists of 100 markers spanning 1236.7 cM, distributed across 22 linkage groups with an average marker distance of 17.92 cM.
- Fregene et al. 1997 reported molecular genetic map of cassava with 132 RFLPs, 30 RAPDs, 3 microsatellites, and 3 isozyme markers segregating from the heterozygous female parent of an intraspecific cross between TMS 30572 and CM 2177-2. The map consists of 20 linkage groups spanning 931.6 cM with an average marker density of 1 maker per 7.9 cM. A second map was constructed from the segregation of 107 RFLPs, 50 RAPDs, 1 microsatellite, and 1 isozyme marker from the male parent.
